Helge Kuhl - Drop Drinking (Modifier Remix)

My good friends Modifier (Glasgow electronica perfectionists featured on Microrave Records release MRR001) have just released an absolutely blinding remix of a track called "Drop Drinking", by Helge Kuhl.

It's been executed perfectly as is expected from Modifier, who are both passionate audiophiles. It's a beautiful and emotive piece of electronica and I can thoroughly recommend that you add it to your digital collection, as a fine example of modern Scottish electronic music.

Really good news this morning after a rough couple of months at Microrave HQ. Just found out that the tracklist for the new Akwaaba Music & Mad Decent joint release "Ze Bula Remix EP" has been announced, and features the Voltergeist remix along with 5 other crackers.

It's very encouraging news, and has got me feeling positive about music again!

Voltergeist: October Mix 2008 FREE DOWNLOAD!

A Halloween Treat!

This mix was originally created as a minimal techno mix on a pair of DENON DN-S3500's, and then edited extensively using Ableton LIVE 7 to add extra effects and samples. The aim was to initially create a unique spooky and atmospheric mix, and then "post-mix" the resulting recording in order to reach levels of sound manipulation which can only be done using modern audio technology! I like to think of the finished result as a treat for the ears and the mind!

It's taken me many hours and countless doses of odd Pumpkin & Mushroom Soup (my mother's recipe) in order to achieve this!
